Pattishall Parochial Charities

The Charity benefits the elderly and needy of the parish in a number of ways:

1) Widows and Widowers monthly pension
2) Christmas fuel grant for those who receive the government heating allowance.

Each year the Charity Clerk will advertise in Around Pattishall and on the website for new applicants. To help identify those who would benefit from a grant, members of the parish are requested to bring forward names to the attention of the Clerk.  Applicants are requested to write to the Clerk giving details of age, marital status and the length of time they have been resident in the Parish.

The closing date for the Christmas fuel grant is 22nd November 2024.

3) General help towards other specific, one-off requirements within the community – this is not age dependant.

Letters should be addressed to:

Waites Educational Charity

The Waites Educational Charity was originally formed to provide tools and equipment for those taking on apprenticeships. However, the scope has been broadened to meet today's needs and include those going into further and higher education.

The Trustees will consider requests from students/apprentices who have been accepted for or are in courses of full or part-time Further or Higher education. These include those at Colleges of Further/Higher Education and Universities, Industrial and Commercial training schemes, placements, day release courses and post school apprenticeship schemes.

Grants will not be made to students in Sixth Form, Tertiary and Further Education Colleges taking A-Level courses or their equivalents.
Students receiving grants will be expected to provide evidence of course attendance, such as a student registration number and receipts for any expenses claimed.

Each year the Charity Clerk will advertise in Around Pattishall and on the website for applicants.

A copy of the Application Form should be completed together with a brief letter to support the application. Both must be signed by the applicant and returned to the address below.

The Trustees will meet soon after the closing date to review the applications. Successful applicants are informed by letter a few days later.

Closing date for academic year 2024/2025 – 22nd November 2024.

Applicants should send their completed forms attached to a supporting letter to:
